About the project

Each year, around 7500 children in Amsterdam (Netherlands) have to choose which high school to attend. The schools use an algorithm to allocate the pupils as best as they can. They need to balance preferences with limited capacity of schools that are in high demand. For OSVO, the platform of schools, we developed a map tool to show statistics per school. How often has a school been selected as first choice, how much capacity remains unused, per level of education?
